Yes it is.. But he says he loved Reagan.. If his opinion had changed, he wouldn't love him anymore.

I still regard Reagan as one of the top 10-15 Presidents in history. As for Obama, Joe is under the misguided notion that I am lock-step with his policies. The truth is IMO the once proud & strong Republican party is a shadow of it's former self, replaced by a party full of Right Wing nuts who care more about destroying the Democrats than addressing the issues our nation faces. The Obama administration (again IMO) is at least trying to fix the problems. I don't always agree with Obama & I feel that he should focus on 1-3 issues at time instead of trying to fix everything at once (which so far has equaled fixing nothing) but I'll take Obama over a bunch of bitter, angry Right Wing nuts any day.

Hitler based his views mostly on the need to have a scapegoat. Germany lost WWI and was not only torn apart by war, but the Treaty of Versailles. Germany was looking for a way to reclaim their lost self-worth and Hitler provided it for them. He claimed the German people were not to blame for their loss, but it was the Jews who secretly caused it. Nothing rallies people faster than shifting the blame to another group.

I never said Obama is a Conservative. I'd say he's a Centrist on most issues & in fact he has carried on many of Bush's policies (e.g. Gun Control, Education & Faith Based Initiative to name a few). Now his medical reform does lean left, but even there a tug of war over the public option is happening between the Liberals & Moderates. Obama may have to side with the Moderates to get the measure passed.

You should get big points in your creative writing classes, but in politics, not so much.

I am not sure what you are trying to convey with the bolded but if you are in any way trying to suggest that it wasn't just the Jewish people that were systematically deprived of every right within the 3rd Reich before being transported, worked to death or simply exectued then that is beyond reasonable. Other groups were targeted, homosexuals, communists, gypsies and the disabled among others, but the main target were the jews. Your attempts to rewrite history are very disturbing in this instance.

That would be my guess. It's a fairly well known fact that more people were killed on the Russian front than anywhere else in terms of direct involvement with the 3rd Reich, but the way he worded it did leave a lot of room for speculation as to what Joe actually was trying to convey. Certainly the racial purity aspect was the driver behind the 'final solution' and you can't get much more ideological than that.
