Did Montreal Forget About us...

I used to be in Ottawa so we can compare "you know it's really cold when . . ." notes if you like. But seriously, it did seem to be on one of Montreal's windier streets, so I imagine in January the wind chill will be wicked.

Oh Hai, Steve's wife...

:)

Oh I know, I am an ex-native of Montreal. I know full well what the winter is like there. My husband is going to ####### himself!!!! Good thing I got him a pair of those Vancouver 2010 Red mittens!

he can put those on over his full-on wool bodysuit longjohns.

Kinda chilly is the understatement of the year....

:D

Steve's wife here:

Hang in there! The CR-1/IR-1 interviews for November were actually scheduled before the K1s by the looks of it. Hopefully you'll get in for a December interview, but if not I'm sure it will be January (if it is - wrap up really, really, really warm for the wait at the door; it's kind of chilly there).

Yeah, you know it's cold when your own breath condenses in your nose hairs and eyelashes forming thick, white frost

You know it's cold when you *stupidly* go out in the a.m. with wet hair and it freezes solid. I have hair down to my butt -- this is significant....

True Stories all...

I really hope you hear something soon. It's just not right. IT's like emotional abuse and no one really understands it unless they go through it. I've had alot of ppl ask me "so your STILL waiting for your visa??" That makes me want to scream "No, Im staying away from my husband b/c its a blast ". Ppl just dont get it. Anyways, thats why we are all here so we can vent and share similar experiences.

Just try to tell yourself that it will happen...eventually. The waiting process is a pain, but really what can you do.

Well, you waited a hell of a long time yourselves! And I agree, it is like emotional abuse, eh? That's what I keep telling myself but, as I'm sure you know, some days are harder than others....

:)

Thanks for your support and good luck with your up and coming interview -- tell them LGG says hello!

just try to hold on for a little bit you will get your good news soon, my case with nvc should be complete by mid november, then the real waiting game begin's, I just don't know why it takes montreal so long to schedule the CR-1 folks, the K's are flying by us at supersonic speed. Hopefully they will resolve this issue at the embassy.

P.S not here to offend the K filer's congrat's on speedy journy (L)

Check your PMs, cherie... pas de fromage necessaire!

Hope you're having fun in Boston, la souris... do you eat a lot of beans there? Just kidding...

;)

We'll get home to the US at some point, right?

And yes, get the room and fireplace ready, honey -- I'd appreciate that. Maybe a couple of good bottles of red?

Have fun....

Talk soon.

Well the way I see it alot of the K1's had to wait along time too, some of them recently scheduled sent back their packet 3's in June. So we seen June right up to Oct packet 3 filers given interviews. I think the same is going to happen to the CR1 folks. The next round of interviews is going to be a whole catch up thing. Hopefully once they get that backlog cleared up then the scheduling will be alot faster for us that are just sending in our packet 3's now. I'm feeling like I 'missed the boat' .....others that I filed with or before got their NOA2's faster and lucked out on fast interviews and I'm not sure I'm going to be so lucky. No one knows for sure with Montreal. I could still end up waiting 4 months or more to get a date and the lucky ones that send in their packet 3's 4 months from now could end up getting an interview the same time as me.

Who knows....its all a guessing game at this point.

Hi ron/sharon..

I feel like a hell lamenting my own situation knowing full well what yours was like. But I do suppose that this journey makes us more auto-focused than we'd normally care to be.

I do shed many a tear (at work sitting at my desk unfortunately). I keep myself focused though and move ahead and I wish us all like despite our short or long timelines. thank you very much for your kind/generous words. I am also very happy to know that your journey is almost complete.

This journey is much easier with kind people who understand the process and what it can do to you.

Best,

LGG

I don't think I've ever wanted to give someone a platonic hug more, Lgg. :(

Honestly. I'm so fortunate that I have the ability to visit my wife today, even if the circumstances for that ability aren't the greatest. I just hate that you've been waiting so damn long for further progress.
