So, was talking to my husband today and he was saying that his daughter, (whom i love like no other person) was asking why can't LGG just come and live with us? Why do we have to wait so long?

When is she going to get here...

I have to tell you? It freaking broke my heart into a million pieces. I mean, it's crappy enough when my husband is like, "gaaaaaah, we didn't get an interview AGAIN?" but he and I, we deal with it. It's depressing and hard but we're fine. But thinking about my little sunshine girl saying stuff like that and not getting was totally heartbreaking to me.

I'm only going on about it here because I know you guys can relate. I know you all understand what it feels like. It also feels like to me that it's going to be one of those months that NVC doesn't schedule any CR1 interviews and such. Most months when they do, they've started already by now and well... it feels like we've been forgotten about again. I'd even be happy if I saw some of my other Canadian CR1s who finished before get an interview.

With the influx of people on here lately talking about how they are A.O.Sing, whether they are legitimate or not, I don't care anymore, sometimes makes me so envious that I almost can't read the posts without feeling sorry for myself. There. I said it.

Anyway. Its' getting really hard, this waiting. But I just wanted to say something -- you guys get it. I know that no one can tell me anything to make me feel better but sometimes it just feel good saying it to people who understand.

Thanks for listening.

Hi Lgg,

That's so sad :(

I'm sure MTL didn't forget about you. I have this feeling that they're going to be scheduling a bunch of CR1 interviews for December now that they've got all the K1s out of the way.

I still have my fingers crossed for you. They are getting mighty sore tho.

I can totally relate. My fiance lived with us (myself and 3 kids) for 3 years and then had to come back to the US for reasons I won't get into but he had no choice at the time. The kids were crushed as obviously we couldn't just pack up and leave with him. It was a nightmare I wouldn't want to live over again thats for sure.

Ugh. I hear you...totally. It really sucks for you, Lgg...you've been waiting a long time.

Despite what my timeline says, my wife and I initially filed for a K-1 visa back in March...but didn't realize that we weren't supposed to get married until the K-1 was approved. This was before I came across VisaJourney, of course, so that sounds like a REALLY dumb mistake now...but at the time, we were just going off of USCIS information which distinctly does NOT say that you can't get married UNTIL K-1 approval...just that you need to get married within 90 days of it. So you can imagine our heartbreak in July when, shortly after we got married, we went to adjust status from engaged to married...and learned that we completely muffed the process and had to start from scratch. So in essence, we've been waiting since March too.

It's tough. Our relationship has had its ups and downs due solely to the immigration process...but we always get through them. I know you will (and do!) too. It's toughest when trying to explain to people that there are three distinct processes immigration has to go through, and that all of them take their own sweet time... Grr.

Here's hoping you get an interview SOON!

I agree with Peachy.

Maybe they're trying to get rid of the K-1 backlog so they can then get rid of the CR-1 backlog.

I hope you get it soon, you've been waiting for such a long time.

Yeah. That's actually what makes me the saddest -- like I said, my husband and I? We're golden but that little girl waiting for me? I cannot explain how it wrecks me inside. I don't have my own children and she may be the closest I'll get. I feel like I'm letting her down by not being with her because though smart, she's still young enough that she doesn't understand why I'm not there yet.

Biggest heartache ever, that.

And again, I thank you all for letting me vent - I know I come across sometimes as a whiny baby -- and I hope not so much so but t his is the only place where I can say these things

where I'll be understood, save for the conversations with my guy....

:)

Thanks everyone -- I appreciate it.

You guys are the best.

I hope you're all right -- sometimes I get so angry and frustrated with Montreal but as you know, there's nothing I can do. I can't read any other thread where people complete at NVC and get an interview assigned like a week or so later.

But all in due time I suppose. And thanks for all your kind support, it actually means quite a lot....

I'd tell you all I loved you but that would just be SO weird...

;)

So i'm sending you all cyber-Timbits instead, okay?

Man.....what I wouldn't do for a Timbit and a jumbo coffee right about now....

I'm in Florida visiting my fiance and haven't had one in a long time. I am so going to miss my Timmy's.

Oh and yeah....pisses me off to no end when I see others get interviews in weeks and Montreal taking months. Its #######. Thing that drives me nuts is I doubt that Montreal is the busiest consulate in the world yet they sure are the slowest.
