Congratssssssssssssssss to SUJEET on his new job!!!

And yeah, it is always good to hear the good stories and it can only be encouragement to those who haven't moved yet...that things can work out fabulously. I think we just tend to hear more of the adjustment problem stories because that's how life is....people talk more about things when things are rough, not when they are good!

P.S. we had Indian food for dinner... a nice chicken korma and saag paneer... mmmmm :D

Sounds gooood. I made dal, rice, and a potato dish on Monday night which was good, but it seems yumm-ier when someone else cooks it! I don't know if it's just psychological.

Wow, a job with 4 weeks paid vacation! I didn't think such a thing existed in the US :o

After being at my current employer for 5 years, I just got 3 weeks vacation + 4 personal days... 1 day short of 4 weeks, lol.

Yeah we know 4 weeks PTO is very rare!! We were shocked too. It's actually a lawyer's firm that he will be working for (Holland and Knight), in the IT dept for them. He may also get additional holidays every year, since the lawyers work around court holidays(govt holidays) and such.

It's such a blessing, because it means he can plan visits to India easier and stay longer on trips.

Wait, did you say PTO? So that includes sick days, right? That's pretty good if you're in good health, then you can use it all for vacation. My previous employer used PTOs and the employees who needed to take lots of 1-2 days off for medical reasons hated it. Ate up all their vacation days. I get sick days separate right now and it's worthless to me... I need to show a doctors note to take more than 2 sick days at a time so my ability to use those sick days for vacation is limited :(

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.
