Hey everyone,

Okay so we have our interview on November 2nd, and I'm really nervous for it. We're totally in love but the process of having to PROVE our marriage is crazy! I have read people's horror stories on here about their interviews gone bad and I have gotten myself so nervous! My wife isn't even nervous but I am haha!

So anyways, here is a list of the documents we'll be bringing. Pleaaaaaase tell me if it's enough or not. I don't know what else we could do or gather as the interview is in like four days, but please any advice would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

By the way, I am the U.S. citizen.

Standard stuff:

My passport

Wife's passport

Copy of my passport

Copy of my Wife's passport

ALL proof from K-1 interview, etc.

ALL USCIS documents from AOS

EAD letter

EAD card

Copy of EAD letter

Copy of EAD card

Biometrics stamped letter

Moms birth certificate

COVER LETTER

Evidence of Bona fide Marriage

1. Card statement from our joint checking account

2. A photo album with billions of photos including our trip to Disneyland (Los Angeles)

3. Apt. lease with both our names on it

4. Mail with both our names on it

5. Tmobile bill with both our names on it

I have been reading other things people have suggested, such as pics at family gatherings, etc. and we don't have any.

I don't even have a camera anymore as it broke so all the recent pics we've been taking have been from my iphone. we can definitely get pics of me, my wife, and my mom and dad.

We also don't have any wedding pics as we had a civil ceremony. We chose to do this because we decided we wanted to wait on having a big ceremony with friends and family until after I graduate from college.

I feel like we have barely any evidence to prove we have a bonafide relationship. That's the thing I'm stressing out about.

I have pics from all the times I went to her country and spent about 9 months with her. We lived together and literally spent 24 hours a day. Same here. We live together and spend every minute together that I'm not working haha. It's hard to prove a marriage and take billions of pics when you don't really do that much exciting stuff but just spending time together going to the movies, to dinner, watching tv and not to sound cliche, but cuddling.

All that stuff is exciting and amazing, don't get me wrong, but when I meant exciting I meant going mountain climbing, hiking, etc haha.

Anyways, sorry for such a long post but I'm just freaking myself out!

Thank you! :)

well, how is this for a non-horror story. We were in and out of the building in 13 minutes with approved green cards for my wife and son and not a single questions asked regarding our relationship. Feel better?

teaorcoffee,

You are correct. :) Interview was on November 2nd and it was pretty easy. Were we given an approval? Nope, not yet because some idiot working in the department didn't have our papers ready. THEY were unprepared for our interview. We had everything we needed and the interviewer said "everything looks great, you guys are so organized, etc., but unfortunately I can't give you an approval because we're missing some documents." I asked her what the documents were so I could get them prepared and she said "Oh, well they aren't documents you'd be able to get. They're missing on our part, so it's our mistake not yours. It's papers from the embassy, etc. from the K-1 visa so you wouldn't be able to acquire them regardless, bla bla bla".

So now we're waiting on those morons to get the papers they should have had prepared and assemble them with the rest of our papers.

I actually posted about this the day of the interviewer. You can check it out if you'd like.

Hopefully it isn'rt a missing medical exam. In this process if anyone makes a mistake...it is YOUR problem.

I couldn't agree with you more. Any mistake on anyone's part is definitely OUR problem haha! If it IS a missing medical exam, what happens?

I don't know if anyone else picked up on this, but she has to BRING her current passport and ALL expired ones as well (my fiancée has 2 expired ones).

Not a copy, otherwise a red flag in my opinion.

She did bring her passport. It's the second item listed in first list "Technical stuff"
