hi there,

Just wondered if you have to have a vaccination history from your doctor for your medical/interview ( I know I ave a while to go but just want to get everything I need sorted)

I called my doctors about it but they dont seem to know what I am needing?/Any ideas? ( bloody NHS)

Thanks

You can get a "vaccination supplement form" from your doc-it will list all the shots you have had.

I will try to find the list of vaccinations you will need(keep in mind you will need them for adjustment of status-NOT for the k-1) but getting shots now will save you loads of money-they are expensive here in the US.

just realized you are applying for a k-3.................not sure if this info applies to you or not

someone else will help

I am applying for K3 and CR1 already married to my US hubby :) so think it applies to me. I will see what the docs says about the vacination supplement form.. I am guessing you have to pay for it!?

My NHS Vaccination Card was sufficient.

I was missing one and had it done before I went, free vs god knows how much.

Pertussis is the whooping cough I think, don't believe it is a required vaccine for an adult. Tim got his vaccine records free of charge from his gp, as well as the TD, MMR and Polio (think he got this one). You will definetly need your vaccine supplement of doing the CR-1.

we couldn't find my husband's records, so we asked the doctor if it was ok to have the vaccinations again and he said it was no problem.

He only had MMR and TB....

ok im just paniking... just want to confirm if you all think this is ok...

All I have from my docs is a letter stating that i had DT (01/12/2005), MMR (20/06/2006) Chickenpox (29/05/1982) - I am 38 years old and according to the list that was all I was supposed to have according to my age. Is this gonna be suficient enough? I worry cause you all talk about a vaccination card etc and it seems to me like an official record of some kind.

pertussis is definately whooping cough.

I am female 31 and the only vaccines I needed were MMR and DT. As I could not get records for these (my childhood was abroad) I had them both on the day of the medical for £30 each.

Just for anyone our age - don't suppose there are many of you :D We are in our late 50's and the only vaccinations required for us were:

Diptheria

Tetanus

Flu

The first 2 are a combined shot and also include Polio (we had this done prior to our medical by our own GP - and there was no charge) - Flu is not available at this time of year so not necessary. We also arranged to get a brief printout of our medical history whilst we were at the GP - to take with us. This made things so much simpler at the medical - rather than noting down everything on the form. The Doctor just noted the necessary.

Anyone born before 1956 does not need MMR.

I would recommend that it is best done by your GP - if you wait until the medical it will cost :(
