I am curious to hear from anyone whose fiancee has gone through the medical exam portion of the visa process. My fiancee is a little shy and is very curious about exactly what happens. If anyone could fill me in, including all the specifics, about what happens I would greatly appreciate your information.

Nov 6, 2009: "I had breakfast in Korea, lunch in Shanghai, and dinner in Chongqing...now I just need to find a squat toilet..."

the med exam is a standard full physical, including range of motion tests and measurements of height and weight, assesment for physical and mental defect and self injury evidence, chest x-ray for TB, and a respectful gynecological that is intended to detect STD. it's done standard chinese style with reasonable accomodation for modesty and takes 3-4 hours, mostly waiting. my wife indicated that it was no big deal. she had hers done in guangzhou. can't remember which hospital.
