I got a message back from my archeologist friend in London. He's got no A/C in his house, and no canopy over the dig area, but he's in the shade most of the day. However, he says its not as bad as back in Toronto, no smog and not humid, so its not affecting his breathing as it would back home. He said the asphalt roads are melting and they're spreading sand over them to try and stop it. Ick. And he said its up to about 47C/116F in the tube.

I think my brain would boil at that temp. Like it did the other day at work.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

(I accidentally put this in another thread...so embarrasing!)

I sure am glad I'm not in London or else I'd be paying a whole lot of money for taxis cause no way I'd walk or take the tube in that heat!

Currently feels like 101 here...I just looked and it actually got up to 102 on Tuesday  Although, I think the humidity has been pretty low for our norm (normal it feels like a wet blanket outside) so the heat hasn't been as bad as it could have been. Our apartment is sweltering though...the thermostat refuses to go below 80.

Naturalization
