Me and my fiance are stuck in the post-acceptance process because each time she goes to the police station to get her police check, they tell her we need paperwork, but we cannot find record of this or anything anywhere and have no idea what it is....can anyone help us? We are trying desperately to make this quick...

thanks

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Im going to assume you have your packet 3 stuff, Has she tried to take the packet 3 pages that list she needs a police check with her to the police station? Highlight that part that is requesting the police check and see if they will give her that one. I remember for mine it said they may not give one without " papers " and to bring the check-list that said the police check was required.

Tho someone from Sydney might be able to help better now that we know where you are trying to obtain it =)

Some Police Stations may not be familiar with the process, in some countries maybe federal policy will be aware.. Not sure in Australia. Nonetheless, you can visit the US embassy in Australia [website] and follow the process and requirements they need from your fiancee [assuming you are processing a K-1?]..

Hope this helps

Police certificates are obtained and submitted at the consulate stage of the K-1 process - moving to US Embassy and Consulate Discussion...

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

I had the same problem here in Norway. The norwegian police will not issue any cert without seeing a request for it. I had to take a copy of the letter from the embassy showing I'm registered plus a copy of the checklist where it's asking for the police cert. I know you're not dealing with the norwegian embassy but this seem very similar to what I experienced the first time I went to talk to the police station, so I'd do what others here have suggested and bring your paperwork down there. Good luck!
