Medical/Vaccination Question

I got the interview day that I want! Now, it's all about scheduling my medical. I'll be going to the Vancouver Consulate in a few weeks (eeps!), and Woking Medical Clinic to get my medical done. Since my pediatrician retired, I can't get my records of when I chicken pox. I never got the Varicella vaccine, but my Mom did say I was 4 when I got it. Do I need to get the Varicella vaccine? Would I just be able to tell them when I got it, or do I actually need the proof? Help!

I am pretty sure they accept your word for it...

my mom nor I could remember if I had chicken pox so i got the titre test done which showed that I had in fact had the chicken pox...

If your mom says you had it at 4, you can just say that you had it year _____. I believe a verbal declaration is enough (that is what I did). And I dont think you need the shot since you have had chicken pox as a kid.

Although my medical's going to be in Toronto, I believe it should be the same.

The woman over the phone asked if I had ever had the chicken pox as a child - I said yes - and said to be sure to tell the doctor at the medical that as well.

Seems like word should do fine.

For the Toronto and Montreal exams a verbal declaration is sufficient...

The Vancouver approved office though doesn't specify on their website whether you need written proof or not (though they do lean towards written proof). You could probably go to a walk in clinic and get the blood titre test done. It should be free, and doesn't take long. That way you have something to prove in writing just in case.
