Affidavit of Support Question

Please i have a question about the Affidavit of support, i didn't make enough last year to support my fiancee but the letter from my employer this year is more than what i made last year because i changed my job at the end of last year so am i going to need a co- sponsor or the letter from my employer stating how much i make in a year is going to be enough? since i didn't make enough last year and its in my tax papers. This is not a problem as I didn't make enough last year either, my employment letter stated that my income this year is enough now. What I included with my affidavit was the notarized copy of 2008 tax return, employment letter, a letter from my bank. I did not need a co-sponsor.

We just got our visa approval this week!

I was looking at your timeline and I was wondering how long it took for the Lagos consulate to send you packet 3? Also do you have an interview date. According to DHL our petition was delivered to Lagos consulate October 26. Should he go to the consulate and pick it up himself that is packet 3?

Our case was a little different as we used an attorney, big waste of money....Packet 3 can be downloaded off the Lagos consulate website. I will send you an email with the information we received and used. Too much to type. Our interview date was Tues. Oct 27th, we were granted the k1 visa, thank God! I believe you can no longer pick up the packets from the consulate, you must download them from the website or wait for the consulate to email to you. My advise to you is when you download packet 3, get the physical done as soon as possible, it takes a couple weeks from start to finish.
