Hey Y'all,

Just trying to figure out if the Dorval international airport is different than the pierre elliot trudeau airport, because it seems like they both use the code YUL. anybody.......anybody?

do they have google in Canada,lol just kidding. Answere: the same airport!! u can cath a shuttle that takes you right to the downtown hotels, around $26 round trip! Works very well

From airport to downtown train stn. From there u take a smaller shuttle to a downtown hotel. And just the opposite on ur return. 2 thumbs up

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I thought they were the same, and I did google it, but I didn't get a straight answer......apparently I suck. Anyways, cool beans. I'm renting a car and I wanted to be sure it was at the same airport I was flying into. I'm going to be with my wife and kid, so it'll just be alot easier if we have a vehicle. I'm going to pretend I'm a really loud arrogant american and just piss all the quebecois right off :devil: I'm actually working on my southern drawl right now....

They changed the airport name about 2-3 years ago now to PET, caused a big uproar in Quebec but that's a whole other story why.... Canada Customs stamps still say Dorval on them

prob not a good idea, as they don't require any help from you, but you may need help from them, ie directions, language translation, etc.

I found the people of Mtl fairly nice, didnt talk to many though. Did manage to order a STARBUCKS latte with no problems!!

And stating ur going to act like a eally loud arrogant american" isnt going to win many over on here!! lol

The nice thing about being a dual citizen is that I can make fun of americans AND canadians, and yet still be just making fun of myself.

I'm dual, but completely ignore the fact I have my USA citizenship,lol Only time i admit to it is at the airport going thru security! lol
