My husband often jokes with friends / acquaintances / complete strangers... that I am a mail order bride and that he signed for me.

And I give him a kick.

HARD. In places it hurts.

AOS complete!

08/21/2009 - AOS package sent

08/28/2009 - NOA 1 for AOS, EAD, AP

08/31/2009 - Cheque cashed

09/05/2009 - Biometrics notice received

09/23/2009 - Biometrics Appointment

09/23/2009 - I-485 Transferred to CSC

10/02/2009 - EAD Approved (card production) & AP approved!

10/11/2009 - EAD Card received

10/20/2009 - AOS approved, GC card production ordered! (53 days in total)

10/26/2009 - Green Card received - nearly 11 months to the day of our K1 NOA 1!

11/25/2009 - Started my new job!

02/26/2010 - Passed my driving test :-p

07/20/2011 - Eligible to remove conditions

2012 - Going for citizenship

09/20/2011 - Removal of conditions submitted to VSC....here we go...again!

It's been a quick and relatively painless journey thanks to tireless research, dumb luck and this community :)

DONE with USCIS for a while :)

LOL, this is funny. reminds me of the first time my fiance told his mom about me.. and his mom asked "is she one of those mail to order brides?" LOL! he said "no mom, #######?" then his mom messaged me on yahoo "hi, welcome to the fam ^^"

he hasnt even proposed yet back then!! :lol:

Hahahahhaha too late for my husband...

But it could serve as a warning to others who fancy the mail order bride route :P

did he just ask what MO FOS are? :D that is too funny!

Anyway, make sure your tracking number is correct or you might sign for the wrong package! :D

Ok in all seriousness, I just came thru NY about a month ago, there are 2 lines, 1 for citizens (Moves fast and it's usually shorter) and 1 for everyone else :) whether they have a green card, visitor etc and the line is quite longer with a longer wait. Just be there when the plane lands and be patient and wait for her.

P.S. - Bring Flowers, lots of them.

N-400:

02/21/2015: N-400 sent via USPS Priority Mail to Phoenix, AZ Lockbox

02/23/2015: N-400 received by USCIS

02/27/2015: Check cashed

03/03/2015: I-797C, Notice of Action received

03/26/2015: Fingerprints done!

when my fiancee flys to american[new york] when k1 approved do i need to sign for her at airport and does she have a long wait or process

.....You don't have too sign for anything...there will be second screening some basic question will be ask...just wait outside...Goodluck

.....God is really Good....this is life together as one.....
