Our daughter is due in 3 weeks, we're naming her Fatima Zahra.. He had insisted on choosing names, and then ended up being pleasantly surprised when he got stumped and I chose myself.. If we ever have a boy, we'll name him Cherif Abdelah, after his grandfather.. hopefully, there will only be two

Jenn - Adam is so cute and I think you should be fine with the name

Nawal - I love your story on how you choose the names.

I love this topic. Aziz and I had discussed this WAY before we got married and it was always difficult for me to come up with a name that would be pleasing to both his family and my Panamanian family. Granted if they have an arabic name they might have a spanish middle name. So after years of debate this is a loose list of what we came up with.

Girls:

Aya Maribel

Layla Yamileth

Amina

Alianna

Nahla Karime

Dooniya

Boy:

Ismail because it can either be Ismael

Jamil

Zamir (hubby doesn't want it)

Zayan Estevan

Adan

Adam

Khalil Zaki

Just to name a few. Although I don't know how people would react with that, but thats what we want

I loved the name Malak as soon as he said he wanted to name our daughter that, I had a hard time with a middle name, but finally fell in love with Rihanna...so, our 1st born is Malak Rihanna.

Second daughter we couldn't agree on a name, seriously even when my water broke we couldn't agree on a name. The names I loved were all vetoed because they were either too common or too old sounding and the ones he loved no one here would ever say correctly. So, we ended up naming her after his mom and my mom chose a middle name since she didn't want us to use her middle name (cause she never liked her own name!, everyone was soooo difficult). Our second daughter's name is Samar Leigh. (though I think she should have really been named Aya, but whatever, I'm only her MOM!!))

Our future son, if we have one, will be Hussein Orion, first name after his deceased father and middle name cause I've always liked the name Orion. If we have another daughter, God bless her, I don't know if we can come up with another girl's name we can agree on.

We have a one year old named Mehdi Amin.

We are expecting baby # 2 in April. We've been back and forth on the baby names. I have picked Ayman for a boy. He insists on Najat for a girl but I'm not sold yet.
