I don't think I could live in N. NJ or Long Island. I have this condition. I laugh uncontrollably whenever I see Guidos.

Don't worry, the further east you go the less guido sightings you encounter. :)

You have to get into middle/eastern Suffolk. Then you'll be good. Just stay out of the Hamptons nightclubs in the summer or your worst nightmares will come true :hehe:

I'm guessing you were last in the area in the 70s and 80s.... or when you do come here you hang out at the guido clubs on the shore ;)

Last time in NJ? Ummmm I'm guessing you mean last time I was there on purpose. It's been probablya bout 5-6 years. I was in NYC 18 months ago. I try to go at least once a year.

The only thing I would say sucks is having to work in the city & commute back and forth. That's terrible. I work local so it's no biggie.

I know a dude who lives in Cherry Hill and has been commuting into Port Authority for almost 20 years.

He is a little nuts.

That's more than a little nuts

I commuted for an internship I had and that's the last time I'll ever do that. Although I do miss the smell of urine when you go up the escalator at Penn Station.

I work about 15 minutes from my house - eastbound. So there's no traffic going or coming thank goodness... since everybody's going west in the morning and east at night. :star:

That's cool. Last time I was looking to change employers I had an offer to work for a major retail company's IT appdev area in Manhattan. The money was good but the more I thought about all the hassle of the actual commute, the more it became clear that I should just take a little less and stay where I am

Although commuting into NYC from the Princeton area is surprisingly easy with the express trains... assuming you have a spot to park your car.

ps. I don't live in the Princeton area, my area sucks.

How long of a commute is that on the express trains?

Little less than an hour on the express train. Near 90 minutes on the regular train i believe.

But at the rate we're going... the MTA is going to raise their rates AGAIN I'm sure, and it's almost cheaper on gas to suffer through traffic than to take that damn train every day.

The train, once you have your schedule down pat, is easier on the stress levels. JMHO.

Wish we had mass transit here :crying:
