I see that Atlanta is on the list & it is a surprisingly affordable city. However New York & Los Angeles belong on a list of affordable cities about as much as Rosie O'Donnell & Sarah Jessica Parker belong on Maxim's Top 100 Hot List.

Yea instead of being overpriced by 500% NYC is now overpriced by 400%. I lived near NYC for 3 years & hated it. Great place to visit but I would never live within 100 miles of NYC again.

I live on Long Island now... but originally from Queens. I love the city but unfortunately it's too overpriced. I like being just close enough that I can take a train in and spend the day there, but far enough away so that my house actually has a backyard where my kids can play.

I would love to move someplace cheaper but I've got a very close knit family.
