Any one dealt with denied visa under INA 221(g)

This what she got from the embassy

This office regrets to inform you that we cannot issue a visa at this time. Your visa application has been denied under INA 221(g).

Your case requires further administrative processing. We will contact you as soon as this processing is compllete.

Also, when I checked the case on the USCIS I see the case under Post Decision Activity.

If any one went through please help me understand what is going on and how long dose this process take?

Did they say that more documentation was required or that no further information is needed? It sounds like you are in AP, which just means that you have to wait until they make a decision. Sorry.

My friend was denied the same on a K-1 visa they said it was not a bona fide relationship. He had to go back to the Philippines and get married and refile a K-3 .It was approved but it did take about 7 months longer.

No more information is needed.

Correct the visa is not denied. It is in AP, which means they are still processing it / doing background checks.

If the visa was out right denied they would have said Denied and being sent back to USCIS. All you do now is wait. They are still processing it and wont issue it right away.
