Mine opens easily, and as all of the papers are in individual folders, I figured if they wanted me to take out the folders one by one to prove that's all they were, really wouldn't bother me.

I think it is quite clear it's just paperwork though.

I've looked over my P3 and P4 letters several times now, and not once does it mention anything about pants.

Quick question for those who brought pictures as part of their "proof of ongoing relationship" -- did they keep the photos? Or were you able to show them and say, hey we're really dating! and then take them back home with you?

And for my affidavit of support, I only have: his I-134, letter from employer, letter from bank, taxes and W2. Would these do?

I have his checking account information, pay stubs, mortgage, utilities, as stand by -- but I dont want to leave them with the embassy as KnJ said they keep all the financial support proof.

Gah, I KNOW Im prepared and I KNOW we have everything but Im getting pretty nervous and have not begun the second-guessing game...

Finally married... and still married... ;)

Its ok! We've all done it. Before my interview I was going crazy. I felt a little silly after going through it and seeing how easy it really was.

There is a very good chance they won't even want "proof of an ongoing relationship." Is your fiance(e) coming? If so they definitely won't need it. But always good to be prepared! I believe they would give them back if you asked, they really don't have a use for them.

For the I-134 that sounds great. For your "backup" stuff, why not just bring photocopies of the stuff you don't want to leave with them? I doubt you'll need any of that, but I can almost guarantee they would accept a photocopy and leave you with the original.

Thanks Hugglebuggles!!! I think Ill photocopy the last three-five months worth of paystubs in case they want that. I agree that I dont think they will require more affidavit of support as we dont need a cosponsor, and I read somewhere in VJ that they are stricter with folks who need cosponsors.

Yes, he is coming! *happy dance* If they ask for proof of ongoing relationship, Ill give them photocopies of our proof and show them our pictures. If they ask for more, maybe I will just do some impromptu make out session, eh?

*AHEM* I actually have hello kitty jammies with the matching slippers!!!!!! Yeah, my fiance will kill me if I show up wearing those...

so I went to collect the stuff for the I-134 this weekend from my fiance's sister and she really has not had any time in the past 3 months to do anything... between getting married, moving and having to go to Boston frequently to visit a very ill family member, her time has been limited. She filled out the form, gave me her job letter and just her W2's from the past 3 years. Is this enough? I am a little worried... she does make well over the poverty line as stated in her job letter.

please tell me I will be okay... or should I get her to scan me some of her paystubs or something? She said on the form it didnt mention anything about w2's or 1040's so she never gathered them.
