OMG I can't believe we're interviewing in 5 days...

Today I woke up with a huge knot in my stomach, which Ive never felt at any time of our visa journey. I guess Im more nervous than I thought!!!

Anyway I am just going to throw this out there and feel free to give your opinion/advice. I am doing this mostly for my benefit as I really need someone to see what Im doing :P

I prepared our "big visa interview stuff" which includes:

1. P4 Letter

2. P3 Letter + info on medical

3. (1) DS230 with supplementary forms as my answers dont fit the small space alotted + 1 copy

4. (2) DS156 + 2 copies

5.(1) DS15K + 1 copy

6. (1) DS160 + 1 copy

7. 4 copies of DS160 Receipt

8. Birth certificate + 1 copy

9. Police certificate + 1 copy

10. All immunizations + copies

11. Medical in sealed envelope

12. Fiance letter of intent from both of us (one from our original I-129F, one from the summer and one we will sign for Thurs)

13. (1) I-134 + 1 copy

14. Proof of Support:

-Bank letter from July 2009 (he's trying to get a more recent one)

-Employer letter from July 2009 (he is getting a more recent one on Wed)

-All of his paystubs

-His checking account statements

-Latest income tax return + W2s (made copies)

15. Proof of Domicile: (I know I dont have to do this but fiance moved houses in July and we were told that he did not need to update his addresses and I forgot to confirm this with DOS and Montreal...)

- Utilities

- Mortgage payments

16. Copy of I-129F petition

- NAO1

- RFE1

- NAO2

- Letter stating that application was forwarded to Montreal

- Copy of I-129F, plus letter stating how we met

- His G-325A

- My G-325A

17. My passport + copy of biographical info on passport and all relevant pages

18. Permanent residency card + copy (cause Im Filipino citizen in Canada)

19. Proof of ongoing relationship: photographs from 2005 to 2009, phone cards, airplane tickets, birthday/Christmas cards to each other, copy of engagement ring receipt

20. Xpresspost or Priority Guaranteed Mailer - still deciding if its worth buying the more expensive envelope...

21. Two copies of my passport pictures (using the ones I had for the medical) - colored pics, right size and dated for August 2009

Misc: My original paperwork as an F1 student in the US - in case that comes up during the interview... also still debating on the x-ray, might be hard to bring it along as Im taking the bus...

*BREATHE* Okay, am I missing anything else??? Should I make more copies of all the documents (meaning make myself a copy too)?

And what is the best way to "present my paperwork"? I currently have eveyrthing in a big red binder and each document inside a sheet protector, separated by titled tabs. Not sure if that would allow me to take stuff in and out fast, but hey its not a contest... :P

OH! Do they keep everything? (ie. financial supporting documents, proof of ongoning relationship) Cause if theyre gonna take the photographs and the birthday cards, and gah my hunny's checking account info... Im going to make copies :P

I know Im heaving a mini meltdown... and thank you for your help! :)

Finally married... and still married... ;)

Green card received: March 18, 2011

Removal of Conditions:

GC Expiration: March 11, 2012

whew. okay.

I'll bold/colour the stuff she took from me. Of course some situations call for more stuff... but here goes:

I prepared our "big visa interview stuff" which includes:

1. P4 Letter got us in the building, I didn't get it back. make a copy.

2. P3 Letter + info on medical

3. (1) DS230 with supplementary forms as my answers dont fit the small space alotted + 1 copy

4. (2) DS156 + 2 copies

5.(1) DS15K + 1 copy

6. (1) DS160 + 1 copy

7. 4 copies of DS160 Receipt

8. Birth certificate + 1 copy Turned in orig + copy and got the orig given back after approval

9. Police certificate + 1 copy only asked for original

10. All immunizations + copies

11. Medical in sealed envelope

12. Fiance letter of intent from both of us (one from our original I-129F, one from the summer and one we will sign for Thurs)

13. (1) I-134 + 1 copy all your evidence=good

- My G-325Ahttp://www.visajourney.com/forums/style_images/1/folder_editor_images/rte-bold.png[/color]

17. My passport + copy of biographical info on passport and all relevant pages I was asked for the bio page copy

18. Permanent residency card + copy (cause Im Filipino citizen in Canada)

19. Proof of ongoing relationship: photographs from 2005 to 2009, phone cards, airplane tickets, birthday/Christmas cards to each other, copy of engagement ring receipt

20. Xpresspost or Priority Guaranteed Mailer - still deciding if its worth buying the more expensive envelope... probably doesn't matter, it needs to be the right size. I don't think I'd change mine to priority. But I might feel differently on friday :)

Don't bring the X-ray. I left it at home. They won't ask for it. Trust this.

*BREATHE* Okay, am I missing anything else??? Should I make more copies of all the documents (meaning make myself a copy too)?

I made a (second) copy/set that J ended up taking with him. You won't need it, but i think it's worth doing.

And what is the best way to "present my paperwork"? I currently have eveyrthing in a big red binder and each document inside a sheet protector, separated by titled tabs. Not sure if that would allow me to take stuff in and out fast, but hey its not a contest... :P

Here's what I did. Man, I wish I took a picture.

I had a file folder, with documents ordered as follows:

P4 Letter
DS-160
DS-156
DS-156K
I-134 (all supporting documents stapled/clipped to the Affidavit)
Birth Cert
Divorce Cert
Marriage Cert (ended up not needing this)
Police Cert

I clipped the photos, NOA1 & NOA2 to the opposite side of the file folder.

Then, I used post-it "flags" at the top and staggered them so each was visible. Whichever document she asked me for, I could pull out.

I duplicated this entire folder with copies, including the passport bio page.

I didn't place the copy with the original because in some cases she didn't ask for the copy. This way I didn't have to separate OUT the copy if it wasn't requested.

This worked really well for me.

They didn't request any additional evidence, nor did she ask me if I had any, and I didn't offer. I really didn't bring much, a few money transfers and original photographs, and a couple of recent boarding passes.

You have a bit more than me, but it feels like a binder would be too cumbersome. I'm curious what cdn_gewels did to organize, I didn't really peek at what she used.

They returned my birth certificate and divorce certificate original. They kept the police check original and I-134 supporting documentation.

Yeah, I'd make copies of the photographs and the account info.

Hope this helps.

You'll do awesome, girl.

Also, when you arrive you're given a sheet that says:

PLEASE PREPARE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS FOR YOUR INTERVIEW, IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER:

1 - PASSPORT(S)

2 - PHOTOS (please print names on the back)

3 - MEDICAL REPORT (S) (please remove the report from the X-ray)

4 - UPDATED POLICE CERTIFICATE (S)

5 - UPDATED EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT (I-864, most recent taxes, I-134, or job letter)

6 - RETURN ENVELOPE (S) (Please add your return address)

**If you previously sent any of the above mentioned items to the National Visa Center, then they will be in your file **

I am making a Table of Contents for everything I am bringing.

Do I really need to bring a copy of his immunizations if that was transcribed at the medical?

Also, I get confused at the large amounts of copies people are making.

I am going to make one copy of everything.

What do I need more than 1 copy of?

Thanks in advance and help me save a tree!
