I wanted to have his last name and we tought changing my national passport was going to be easier. It wasn't! My passport has my maiden name, My green card has my married name. It is simply nightmare when I apply for visa in Europe or travel back to U.S. Oh well I will try my consulate one more time I guess....

BTW I changed my user name from ebruli to candelari.... My life has less confusion with USCIS and what nots I needed to add one more. I still can not figure out how to make it "rich text" to fix the list by myself... I started to feel special need person....

I went to Japan with these last December and it was no problem at all.

I brought my marriage certificate just make sure, but they didn't ask me to show them!

Add me to the list please! Packet was mailed on November 27th and received at VSC on November 30th 2009. I have not received my NOA1. However I received my biometrics notice for 12/18/2009. My green card expires on 01/16/2010. I am just curious if I don't receive my NOA1 before my biometrics, then I am going to attempt to get a stamp in my passport the same day as my bio.

It took me one week to receive the bio letter after receiving the NOA1. Some locations take longer depending on where the ASC is located and how many applicants they have on their list.

I wouldn't worry just yet. My guess, your NOA1 was dated Dec 2nd or so, so I would expect to receive your bio letter by this coming Friday, it may take longer depending on which ASC you will go to for your biometrics.

I wouldn't worry just yet. My guess, your NOA1 was dated Dec 2nd or so, so I would expect to receive your bio letter by this coming Friday, it may take longer depending on which ASC you will go to for your biometrics.

I mailed mine today. According to the time-line it's gonna take over 3 month to receive it back. Is it true?

It looks like CSC are tracking 3 months, so that's a safe assumption, but not everyone falls under this timeline.

By the way, if you like, you can add your name under the December filers list and see how other December filers are tracking!

I think USCIS asks people to wait 30 days before inquiring about their biometrics letter and actual appointment. You can get an Infopass appointment and ask them about your status and your biometrics.

That's when I would schedule it.

I just checked their website and they say 45 days but most people are going for biometrics within 4-5 weeks, so in case they mailed you a letter and it got lost, I would still schedule it 30 days later.

You can always cancel your appointment online, but hopefully you don't have to go that route and you will receive your letter soon.
