I just sent off my packet 3, so fingers crossed that it gets logged quickly and that Montreal is still being generous with the interviews!!!

Mine should be arriving any day now and it'll be sent back ASAP. I agree....hopefully they are caught up and we can get in for an interview December or early January. I think pretty much all the K1's have gotten interview dates but I don't think the CR1 people have all gotten scheduled yet.

LMAO! Yeah my fiance has been correcting me for years on the correct order of dates....he had a heck of a time with it when he lived in Canada. It drove him bonkers.

I've always done it mm/dd/yyyy. Never realized it was an American vs. Canadian way. lol I guess it depends on how you say the date. I say October 28th, for example, rather than the 28th of October, so it doesn't make sense to me to then switch it afterwards when writing it out.

Anyways, that's irrelevant... lol Hurrah for pre-Christmas interview dates!!! You'll have a slew of reviews to go on, that's for sure.

Many have stopped the k3 route as timewise it runs pretty close with the CR-1 and the CR-1 is a "better" visa than the k3 and costs less!! The k3 was suppose to be a faster visa to reunite couples, but it has slowed down!! Actually we went the K3 and cr-1 route and our CR-1 was completed well in advance of the k3. i had actually moved to the USA before the K3 was approved--got the NOA stating that it had,lol Ya thanks, not required, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I don't want to hijack this thread - but it seems strange that you have done so much at NVC for a K3 - i'll pm you.
