I-485 Question

On the I-485 form in part 3 A they ask

“ Have you ever before applied for permanent residence status in the U.S.”?

I’m not sure how to answer this question because I am now married to a USC and he is filling our I-130 and I-485, however when I was younger my mother was sponsor by her employer and since I was a minor she filed and I-485 on my behalf, that case however has long been closed (denied) So my question is do I answer yes to this question or no? I think I should answer yes, but I’m a little confused and unsure about my answer.

You say yourself that your mother filed an I-485 on your behalf -- so it sounds like yes, you have applied for permanent residence status before.
