I-134 is for K-visa. If you are in K1 visa, it's very rare that US embassy in Manila accepts co-sponsor.

so if they dont accept co-sponsor then what do they do ?

I864 and 864A is for your adjustment of status, that doesnt happen till you are in america and married =) you only need the I-134

so if they dont accept co-sponsor then what do they do ?

There are no "hard rules" with the I-134, so consulates have almost complete discretion in what they will accept. Some consulates are known to rarely, if ever, accept a co-sponsor with the I-134. These consulates include Manila (Philippines), Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam), and Bangkok (Thailand), though I'm sure there are many more. Manila has been known to sometimes accept a co-sponsor with the I-134 if it's an immediate member of the sponsor's family.

If the consulate won't accept a co-sponsor then the petitioner must qualify on their own. If they can't, then an alternative option is to get married and file for a CR1. The petitioner would then submit an I-864, which DOES have firm rules and DOES allow for a co-sponsor.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

well at least my friends have an option then thank goodness.. the co-sponser is their cousin. is that immediate enough of a family member?
