BY, I'm not going to play this childish game with you. Grow the ** up and start behaving like an adult.

This is why it's best we put each other on our ignore list and be done with it. Seriously, not interested in reading let alone responding to you anymore.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I have a hard time believing you - when you went out of your way to initiate this exchange.

Stop trying to make out that you're some sort of victim - that's ridiculous in the extreme. I expect I'm not the only one who's tired of hearing that particular tune.

No victim here mate. Just caught out your horse sh-t and cannot be bothered with it anymore.

It isn't possible to rationally discuss any subject if you continue to badly misintrepret people's opinions for your own purposes.

I see I see. Unlike making false assumptions about a handful of words I posted in satire, and disingenuously using these racist allegations in every second post.

I have figured you out by now. The second you are rolled or your opinion is proved moronic, you will divert a thread and force a poster into a personal gloves off competition. Then a andful of your resident loser buds will notice this and jump in. Happens in most similar threads.

BY - why don't you just admit the truth.

You can't hold your temper in these threads and you end up saying something offensive (and yes, racist) in the heat of the moment - and then compound it by spending page after page trying to defend it. Wash, rinse, repeat - and you're surprised that a certain reputation results.

What that is certainly not, is satire.

That comment was but illustrating that 50% of gang members are Hispanics is certainly not satire. Not to mention, look at the surnames of these offenders. Not exactly Australian, British, Japanese or Swedish sounding names are they? Dutch maybe?

Oh wait, apparently we all behave the same. To bad the FBI link I found bellow suggests otherwise. How can anyone in their right mind refute those most wanted people? Or am I just not interpreting those details correctly either? The race field is quite self explanatory.

So then you just contradicted yourself - saying that you make racially charged statements in the form of satire when by your own admission they are not satirical.

I know full well that blacks and hispanics are over represented when it comes to crime. Again (and pay attention to this next bit) - I am well aware of this, have never denied it, am not denying it.

I'd like to bring up a point concerning the video game/ tv/ movie violence contributing to the juvenile crime rate. I think the problem still begins at home. When I was a kid, I watched the Three Stooges everyday as did most of the youth at that time. Why is it that we all knew you wouldn't hit someone in the head with a hammer or poke them in the eye etc? Common sense, maybe? Yet today a young person who plays video games thinks it's ok to get on their bicycle and go shoot someone they don't like? Sorry, but I feel the problem is much deeper than games and tv. It's mom and dad. And in the case of dad, it's a lack thereof.

The problem is and has always been with deviant individuals. Just as you say - you watch the 3 Stooges and somehow know that its not OK to hit someone on the head. I don't think much has changed really. Not everyone who plays Doom, Far Cry, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto etc etc is spontaneously inspired to go out and act of what they've seen/done in the game. In fact its safe to say that the vast majority of people don't do that and can separate fantasy from reality.

I have heard of young kids (very young - like 4-7 year olds) slapping or kicking their sister playing "Power Rangers" but its a big step to go from that to committing crimes as a juvenile. I do agree that a lot of it has to do with parenting and upbringing as well as the environment that you grow up in. Even then its not straight-forward - there is simply no direct causality between exposure to the media and the individual's subsequent behaviour.

Its always been a copout for people to look to easily definable external things to explain actions that can't be easily predicted or explained. First it was pulp magazines, then it was rock and roll, comic books. Now its horror movies and video games. Its just an easy way of avoiding tough questions.

In congruence we are.

When I grew up, as in under 13, I was only allowed to watch, who's the boss, growing pains, Cosby, get smart shows or films like Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, Elvis Presley etc. Or even the power ranges / ninja turtles which was about doing good. I had to watch any other movie with my folks. Whereas, I went to school with guys that were allowed to do and watch anything. I envied those guys folks. Two such guys are now serving life sentences.

To the contrary, those of us kids who had strict, proactive, involved and by the book folks like myself, are well educated or successful and honest business owners. Yes, every single one of them.

I still believe that a large part of it is upbringing. The home life that these troublemakers have does nothing to put them on the right path. Yes, I know that wealthy, two parent, good family kids commit crimes too. But take a look at the perpetrators in the majority of crimes we see today.

So you think that if you'd been allowed to watch mature rated movies, that you'd be in jail?

I don't know about your lifestyle or upbringing, I am talking about my own experience.

I hung around with a lot of those kids and did a lot of what they did, however, I always knew where to draw the line and right from wrong. Many of them did not. This is something my folks instilled in me. This was back in the 80s.
