But Mr Saffo says these improvements would only be affordable to the super-rich. And because of this, he says, advancements may lead to a divide between the classes and eventually could lead to the super-rich evolving into a different species entirely, leaving his not-so-rich counterpart behind.

This is good news. Seeing that we're told all too often that health care cost are rising so much due to to all this funding needed for research and development of new drugs, medical procedures, etc., and seeing that the super rich are slated to be the main beneficiaries of all this progress, it's only fair for the super rich to pay for all this #######. Not enough that the poorest inhabitants of the planet are used as guinea pigs for the testing but why would I want to subsidize these awesome limbs and personalized drugs financially seeing that I won't be able to afford them anyways? Let the new species pay their own way.
