Keeping the faith, K! Fingers crossed.

My day was decent. I went grocery shopping with my mom, cooked dinner for my parents. Best friend called from PA. Found a temporary job to occupy my time -- I start tomorrow.

Teaching 4,5,6 graders. :)

Good to hear from you Third. I am glad you are enjoying the holidays with your fiance.

Well, currently I am emailing the consulate on a regular basis, but they do not respond when you get a 221g. So, today I am hoping I get lucky and get a liveperson to talk to from 2 to 4 pm indian time. I should be getting the religious divorce decree by next week the latest. Then submitting to VFS and saying a prayer that the outcome is positive.

I am glad that they are responding to you this is a good sign :). They have everything from you but just doing the administrative processing, so I am sure once they are complete with this their will be good news. I wil continue praying for you Sara. On the other hand I have no respond from the Mumbai Consulate. I called DOS again and they just said additional processing and not administrative processing. They are just pending decision on the documents I submit. I am waiting for the signature and I should have it by next week.

I don't know if one is better then the other. Just taking an educated guess on this. Additional processing is when they are pending additional documents, and administrative processing is when they are doing background check. That is a good question, but still does not explain why they stated do not submit passport on the bottom of his 221g. That would only mean they are doing administrative processing. Completely confused myself now.
