He said my passport should be back by the end of the week (or perhaps early next week) but I won't hold my breath, LOL!!

Congrats!!! Such a great feeling, I know!:-)

Just FYI -- I got a surprise delivery from Canada Post this morning -- my visa! I was approved on Thursday, Oct. 22nd and it came today...much faster than I thought...so yours might be just a couple days too!

Not sure if your question was aimed at me, but anyway . . .

The questions they asked are in the first post of this thread. Nothing too scary, as you can see. For details of my timeline, see my timeline (I finally filled it in). Don't know that I would describe the process as "quick". We waited over five months for our interview after we were done at the NVC; we waited over three months to get our interview date after we were done at the NVC, so I don't really count that as "quick".

If you put in your timeline and include what visa you applied for, that will help everyone answer any questions you might have - K1's and CR1's/IR-1's have different timelines and procedures.

No one knows how Montreal works. The best you can do is call DOS until you are given a date and/or sent out Packet 4.

The "Embassy Reviews" section at the top allows you to select the Consulate and Visa type of your choice to see a variety of reviews from other users. It's a great tool to give you an idea as to what to expect.

There are many waiting for an interview, you're not alone. Chin up, hopefully we'll see Montreal scheduling another big batch of interviews soon.
