lol ty for the pics! :) i love my timmies but David prefers his starbucks..i dunno..starbucks coffee just tastes..blech..and all of them taste the same to me! lol

So far Windsor is turning out to be ok :) I live like 5 mins from the Ambassador Bridge, wondering if that would be easier to cross by car also compared to the tunnel. Only time i went through tunnel was a year ago when i went by greyhound.

And omg...why is the medical so $$$ in TO? Darn, back when i was in MTL i was gonna go to Medisys, which was cheaper and they gave you the results same day on cd i think.. Ironically, if i knew the true cost of this whole journey and someone asked me 2 years ago if i'd attempt it, i'd prolly have laughed and said no. Amazing the things we do for true love eh? :P

But at least i get to see David and my puppies (after a years of not seeing them) at Thanksgiving!!! WooHoo!

I always get hassled more by tunnel than by taking the bridge.

FYI, don't park around the corner from Front Frederick Medical Services. It's permit-only parking.

I speak from experience.

(That said, the ticket was only $30 and I was at the medical for about three hours, sooooo... ;))

For actual legal parking, the street one block away (I think north?) of the medical center does have pay parking on the street. There's also pay street parking directly in front of the building, but good luck getting that (and I don't know if it's open that early in the morning).

We parked in front of Starbucks, on Frederick. The meter parking started at nine, so we even got away without paying a dime.

Yeah, that day was kinda stressful for me. Toronto streets + me without a GPS = insanity.

Thankfully, I was able to call my fiancee and get her to Google Maps me some directions.

quick question since my medical is next monday.

do i need to ask the doc to make copies of any of the forms for me for my AOS? i'm a tad confused about the vaccinateion i693 ds-3025 etc.. I mean..i dont get why some ppl have to see a panel physicial afterwards to get a transcription? i thought everything in the medical envelope was all i need for a k1? or am i just confused and mixing up multiple processes? lol.

I think that what happens is, i'm hoping, is that w hen you go back for your results, and they're all okay, they give you the results in a SEALED envelope that cannot be opened by you. You then pass that on to the person who conducts your interview and there is no need for another set to be made. They also give you a notice that you get to keep for your records -- your vaccinations and such.

As far as I know, and I'd like to be corrected if I'm wrong, but you really have no need to obtain another transcript of this procedure. I may have to do it again once I go for my 10 year green card but I'm not sure as of yet.

not very helpful, was that?

They give you a sealed envelope with everything in it and then an individual copy of the your vaccinations worksheet. You then take that worksheet to a civil surgeon to transcribe it to the I-693. I just sent back the worksheet with my AOS, but almsot everyone seems to be getting an RFE if they don't get it transcribed to the I-693.

The panel physician will give you a copy of your DS-3025 and the sealed brown envelope with your medical results in it. If they don't give you a copy of the DS-3025 for whatever reason be sure to ask for a copy.

The I-693 is a vaccination supplement very similar to the DS-3025. At the AOS stage you will need to find a local, American, USCIS approved civil surgeon to fill out this form for you using the information on your DS-3025. This is a requirement. In the past many people have neglected to include the I-693 with their AOS application and instead included a copy of the DS-3025 and were approved without a problem. However in recent months USCIS has been cracking down on people who do not include the form. If you look around in the AOS forum you will see how many people have been affected by this. Basically you have two options. You can file without the I-693 and just hope you don't get an RFE (some still get away without it) or you can get the I-693 filled out and include it with your AOS application and avoid the trouble. Also keep in mind that if you aren't transferred to California and end up with an interview you are required to bring the I-693 to the interview with you. If all your vaccinations are complete at the time you have your Canadian medical the chance you will not receive an RFE for the I-693 are higher, but it is absolutely not a guarantee.

Lgg- since you are a CR-1 and don't go through the AOS process the I-693 trouble isn't something you need to worry about. So for you, yes, that is the procedure. For K-1's who go through the AOS process after they marry in the US it isn't as easy. From my understanding when you do ROC there is no medical requirement.

Ah ok..i get it now..still think its redundant to have the same info copies from one sheet to another, and i thought dr Seidan was a uscis approved physician...double work so much in this proces..so many duplicates of everything waste of time trees energy and money..i hate the governement...

erm i'm sure you do ashen..they are suposed to give you one. you can always have them mail you a copy if you dont maybe?

ok so i found my vaccination booklet. and it has only two items in it..MMR which i'm guessing is mumps measles and rubella? the other says RTD polio. thats it. Now i'm over 35..and i'm guessing they are goign to say i need a tetanus..i've tried to get the hospital that gave me the shot 3 years ago send me something but medical records seems to be out to lunch and wont call me back long distance. Will this be any problems? i'm guessing if i need extra shots thats ok and i'm allowed to do it when i move right?

Though I gave the civil surgeon my DS-3025 for her to transcribe onto the I-693, she actually asked to see my immunization booklet too, and ended up taking the info from there.

So if, for some reason, you can't find the form from Seiden, there are other ways, Ashen. They just need proof of your vaccines.
