I'm getting ready to put my packet in the mail, but I have a question about it.

All the things say that you need an EXACT copy of the packet you send in, fine. What I need to know is do I put original receipts and boarding passes in the packet that I send to the service center, or do I make copies of them and put them in so that each packet has copies. Does that even make sense? I guess what I mean is, is it okay to have one packet with originals and one packet with copies because then they're not exact? Am I taking the "Exact" thing to literally? I just don't want to have to make corrections and for this process to take longer! Please help!!! :o

And one more thing, who do I make my check out to when I finally send in the packet, and where in the packet do I put the check? Should it be just right on top?? I'm nervous and don't want to mess this up. My fiance and I have been apart for so long now, I don't want to make it longer by filing the paperwork wrong. I'm really appreciative of everyone's help! Thank you so much!!!

Take your pile of papers and proof of relationship, run it through the photocopier, send the original, and keep the copy. The copy is in case they lose the original. You don't want to have to compile all that paperwork again. :)

I ended up making 2 copies and sending one to my SO, in case he needed it at the interview.

Okay, me and the copier are going to become great friends tomorrow, and then I'm off to the post office! Thank you all so much for your input! It's really appreciated! Congrats on your approval!!! Your timeline gives me great hope!!!!! (I know it could be longer, but seeing that union jack and that timeline really makes me happy :) see?)

Wrong. Make two copies of these proofs. Send one copy with the initial I-129F. Send the originals to your fiance(e) for the interview. You keep the final copy just in case.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
