My boyfriend and I have been trying to get him a visa to the us. He tried a tourist visa last year so he could come visit me but was denied because of insufficient ties to mexico.

i am a US citizen living in the usa, and he is a mexican citizen of course living in mexico.

what would be the fastest way for him to be able to come over here? the fiance visa or the marriage one? We plan to be married the question is do it before and apply for the marriage one? or do the fiance visa and wait for approval?

also, if we do the marriage visa route it is quiet possible that I might move there to be with him while the papers are being processed, since they take so long. Would that hurt his chances since we would then both be in mexico?

thanks for your time!

The K1 fiance visa would be faster for you. Once he arrives to the US, you have to get married and file for adjustment of status.

If you move to Mexico, it may hurt your chances as you may not be earning enough income when you file the affidavit of support.

Look at the timeline for K1, it's about 6 to 7 months to get a visa. Go to the Ciudad Juarez thread....under consulates.
