Just a quick question. It's been awhile since I've been here, so hi!

Anyway, we're about to file all the paperwork and such. However, in the process of doing it all and saving up the funds we needed to do it (gotta love one income >__<), his father fell even more ill than he was before. He's in a nursing home now so they can monitor him. Anyhow... sorry for the sob story.

We wanted to know how (and if) we can do the walk in AP. My husband wants to see his dad very badly. I live in Quarryville, PA, and I'm not sure of where to go/who to call/ etc. Do I send in the AOS paperwork and /then/ go do a walk-in if it's available? Should I just send it all in together? Is there a link somewhere that I'm missing that goes into this a little more?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

It seems that the procedure is to file for AOS (I-485). Once you have NOA, you can make an infopass appointment at the local office and apply for emergency AP there.

I'd get a second opinion on whether you need to file for AP in your AOS package or not. I don't believe so, but I would double check. You can also search the old forum's Working and Traveling Before AOS section for other people's stories.
