14 pages...wondered what could be hiding in this thread! It's about airports huh? At least it was. Um, I like being in airports even if I am not flying. I find it fun because I haven't flown a bazillion times. It's still "new" to me. Even after flights to India. I can't believe that people travel through the air like it's no big deal. It's a big deal!! lol

If you have only been to airports in third world countries like the US and India, then you haven't flown!

Excuse me but I have been to wonderful Charles De Gaulle airport. I stood right in the new pretty section....that collapsed a few months later! Woot! High class destruction. My favorite airport is still Tampa so far. My home turf.

I guess you've gotten accustomed to third world standards. Florida, don't even get me started. The only international lists Florida shows up on is the list that ranks states by the number of dumb as bricks old people.

Not my granny, she was sharp. And she had an in-ground pool at her condo in Clearwater. I miss my granny :crying:

I hated Charles De Gaulle - one of the worst for connecting flights.

I didn't like it either...and the bathrooms were small and not very nice imo. And plus the newer part fell down and all.

Atlanta and Charles De Gaulle were the worst for me. Lyon wasn't great either - all those French regional airports don't bother to put signs in French and English.

Kind of like Quebec

It was in Tampa that one time the security screen looked at my 80-210 and 150-300 lenses like they were explosive devices. I was like whaaaaaaaaat? LOL

Nothing beats 5 straight and repetitive 'inspections' at Cartagena's airport, 3 of them by machine-gun clad DAS (Colombia's national police). Fun times.

On the good times I do remember eating at the Subway at Santa Cruz airport (Bolivia). They had no local breakfast options.

But at least the Food in Lyon wasn't so bad eh.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
