I was browsing the website for JFK airport and thought this paragraph was funny.

If you choose to enter the terminal with the passenger, please be aware that only ticketed passengers will allowed past the security checkpoint. However, you may enjoy any of the areas before security.

Does anyone honestly "enjoy" airports?

Depends on which airports. There is a lot to do in various modern airports. You will certainly not be bored in Sydney or Melbourne. Honk Kong's airport or Dubai's are awesome.

I have had to wait for a few hours at numerous airports, with US airports by far being the ugliest and most boring.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

How did I know there was going to be a plug for Australia.

You have too much time on your hands, BY.

I bet all the kids choose to hang out at the airport on the weekends ;)

Europe has some of the best airports in the world. Australia's main airports are just another example of nice modern airports. With lots to do while waiting.

The domestic airline lounges are also ####### here. Actually more like disgraceful, with their free pretzels and two sodas.

I do. Some have excellent restaurants, and the shopping is da bomb.

Not to mention outrageously overpriced.

Yeah I was wondering about that - airports aren't exactly the place to find a bargain. You used to get tax-free booze in Europe, but its not really that much cheaper these days.

Here's another gem. Should an airport website really sound this fuсking cutesy?

Conveniently located at the AirTrain JFK Lefferts Boulevard Station, Kiss & Fly enables travelers to simply hop on AirTrain for a fast and free ride to their terminal. (The kiss, by the way, is optional.)

Airport shopping is for people with too much money.

It's called the developed world.

I am sure you are happy that the US is on par with India in various areas.
