Calling NVC

I'm so tempting to call the NVC and ask for a case update for my CR-1, but trying not to. My attorney has advised me not to call them so often, as every time you call, it gets marked on your file. It's an understatement to say this whole thing is frustrating, stressful, anxious, depressing and everything else. You sometimes just want to scream, kick and shout at the operator. But you hold back cause you don't know the level of authority they have. I'm seriously considering a career change get a job within the Immigration department. It will be good for them to at least one worker who knows what emotions are felt.

I know once the process is over, I will look back at it this and possibly laugh. But until the day arrives when I'm reunited with my wife, its just stressful. I keep accessing the fee payment page, hoping, anxiously, that it says login failed, as this the only tool at my dispense, which doesn't involve physically calling anyone, expressing emotion over the phone, I can find out if my case is in fact "case complete".

I find it quite hard to keep hold of my emotions whilst speaking to NVC. The operator doesn't say anything which remotely eases your tension. I think I have only spoken to one operator, who gave my confidence; I actually felt good after speak to the NVC.

I dream of the day I'm back, with my wife. I love my wife more than anything. I can't wait to start my life with her together. She is the single most important person my life. She makes me feel happy, worthwhile; gives me the strength and belief that I can be successful; I have brains to succeed.

It's just extremely difficult, having someone else do the paperwork for you cause you have too. Congratulations to all that have received my their visa. I just hope I receive my Visa VERY VERY VERY soon! I have my medical this month, hopefully everything goes brilliantly, at least that's one thing down.

Thanks for reading my rant...sorry, sometimes you have to post your feelings as it the only way you can release.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

OK I finally caved and called NVC, much too my despair. I could feel my heart beating fast, I didn't take this as a good sign. I spoke to a male operator, whose English, I assumed by this accent, was his second language. He was quite friendly. Still awaiting for the documents to be in putted in the system, as this point I wanted to scream at him. I started questioning him. He said maybe it's in the correct department but not yet actioned, he went on to say they receive millions everyday. He was right but it didn't minus my anguish.

He said they have between 2-4 weeks (as many people on this forum may know). I'm hoping it will be in putted VERY SOON and I get interview date VERY VERY VERY soon.

I ended the conversation with one final query, I asked if I get Login Failed at the fee payment website, does that mean case complete, he replied "you may have entered in your credentials incorrect". But reiterated again, does it mean case complete? He said "No, not at all".

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Well I have my medical very soon, at-least I feel like the case is progressing and some way. I'm quite paranoid about the medical. I hate being observed/monitored by someone else. It's a weird feeling. Knowing that your appearance , tone, actions may not go down well it the person opposite you.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Just wanted you to know that I've read your thoughts and I share your pain of waiting, as does everyone on this site. You are not alone. And it helps me to know that. Hang in there. The best things in life are worth working and waiting for. Your wife certainly sounds like one of those "best things." Your words about her are lovely. Thank you. At least someone has replied. It's just so painful. Like I have said the threads above, getting your hopes high as the sky when calling NVC everyday to find out the latest. I hate this feeling. I have my medical soon. So worried and anxious about that, on top I'm eagerly awaiting an Interview date. Hopefully the medical goes very smoothly, glitch free; then the interview. I feel as doing the medical, at least the case is progressing in some way. I actually had control of the booking, install of it going through the system, once again.

In essence that's what it is, we are all going through the system. USA's immigration process work far greater than any other immigration process in the world.

Yet, the dream of being with my wife, back in the USA seems so distant. This isn't fair.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Well another day and still nothing. I spoke to a nice operator, Nadia. I tried to be conversational, telling her to have good evening, whilst getting confused of the time over there.

I think she hear my anguish in my tone. Well hopefully soon eh.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Hindocha.

Your going to drive yourself crazy if you dont get off your backside and continue living life until your case is complete.

I am not going to sugarcoat it for you any longer, you have started so many threads that nearly always end in self pity.

We all waited. Some continue to wait. It's hard. Being away from your loved one sucks more than anything ever could.

But you have a responsibility to yourself and your mental health to quit the self-pitying and accept....it IS going to be over soon. Just not as soon as the unrealistic time frame you had initially set for yourself. It's time for you to manage your expectations my friend. You have a duty to your wife, to arrive in the US in a state that doesn't resemble a basket case.

You are. Funny enough, I actually like the way you put. You put t exactly how my friends would have. Its just so frustrating. I know I have started allot of threads, it's cause I was new to everything. People have different ways of dealing with these situations. I have my medical soon. My concentrations are on that now. Whilst, I really hope I get an Interview Date soon!!

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Say no to crazy-ness....no matter how tempting the funny farm is right now. :P

It's normal to be focused on this.....but it would be really healthy for you to have other things to concentrate on. Take up breakdancing...or even better...learning to bake. I know I'd appreciate a husband with wicked culinary skills! ;)
