It's rather unlikely Joe - but if you're looking for evidence of brainwashing I'd suggest re-reading some of your posts - you know, the ones about "libruls" ;)

Its always about me for you isn't it?

Do you have the hots for me?

I just think its funny to see the brainwashed posting about the dangers of brainwashing.

If that gets your jollies - more power to you.

I forget if it was Stalin or Hitler who said - "If you tell a lie long enough, loud enough, and often enough, the people will believe it" "They are more likely to believe a big lie, rather than a small one"

It seems to have worked for you - stale talking points verbatim from the TV and Talk Radio.

Really which ones? Please give the air-dates as well. I don't watch TV. Maybe 20 - 30 minutes per week.

It's the one common thread that binds us all 3-syllable or greater people together.

My name is one syllable and not a single American can pronounce it without help.

I DON'T HAVE A BOY'S NAME.

And in the UK the outsourcing of call centres to India resulted in all the workers having to have British names and to start working on their accents to Anglicise them.

Dear God. Do you guys EVER get tired of derailing every damn thread into ####### measuring contests?

Clearly not - its part of the fun of O/T ;)

No, it's not. You guys -either side- are making it just freaking annoying, in a revolving door my dad can kick your dad's @ss kind of way. Can't stick to the damn topic? Really, #######. Maybe it's because, at least this topic, does really not affect either of you; so it's ok to turn the thread into #######. Carry on.

Some do it better than others. Lets not forgo the actual context behind these contests, Len. Once that is out of the way, we can see the forest for the trees is more than just an expression.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

You are a pretty intelligent guy GH, and I used to think this kind of BS was beneath you, really. I guess I have been proven wrong.

aaah yeah I get that too - I hate calling my bank and wind up speaking to "David" in India. People don't even bother pronouncing my husband's name, yet still can't manage to spit our our last name - which perplexes me completely.

Well now you're doing exactly what you're complaining about.

What sort of response do you think this is likely to get?

Whatever makes you feel better I guess. I responded to the original thread with good arguments based on research, and I think this is a very interesting topic that affects about 40% of VJ members, some of whose spouses have had their names bastardized in such a way. But I guess we all have our priorities ;)

Indeed we do.
