At what point do we get the brown "do not open" envelope from London? I thought it was given at interview for some reason, but we do not have one.

Brown envelope is delivered along with your passport and visa by the courier.. you do not get it at the interview.

You are supposed to receive it at the Interview.

It isn't it comes with the courier when they bring the passport back.

Lol. It will be stamped at the front, saying DONT NOT OPEN FOR US POE ONLY (something along those lines. Back of the envelope, it will be seal with transparent tape and the doctors stamp.

But you DO get the x-ray in an envelope back at the interview. Lots of envelopes. And here we thought we were in the digital age!!

The first thing the CBP officer did when I handed my envelope over was carefully check all around it to make sure it hadn't been touched.

Yeah, it's tempting to open it, but there's nothing in it that you haven't seen before anyway. I got to look when the immigration officer opened it at POE and it was basically your whole file from the London Embassy. Nothing mysterious.

Oh, and be careful when you travel with it. I put mine in my hand luggage but it wouldn't close, so I had to fly with it poking out of the top of my bag. I was constantly checking every 10 minutes that it was intact.
