So it seems to me that our case is moving along pretty fast and wanted to see what all was next on the horizon for us.

We submitted the 1-130 on 8/14/09 and received the NOA 1 on 8/25/09. I've been out of town for the last month (visiting the wife :) ) and got home tonight and saw the NOA 2 in the mail as of 9/25/09 and also that the case is now at NVC. Does this seem faster than normal? I have a form instructing me to pay the $70 fee for NVC as well as the DS-3032 Choice of Agent form. Once I pay that fee and fax the DS-3032 to my wife to have her name me, how much longer (approximately) is left? It seems there is the whole affidavit of support piece, then the medical and interview in Montreal, but about how long on average are cases at NVC at this point? Are there any other key docs to obtain? My wife and I already have passport photos, she obtained her long form birth certificate, and I believe she has yet to get the police certificate so I know we'll need that too.

thanks everyone!

Also, I went to the NVC website and tried to sign up for electronic processing, but when I get to this link:

Electronic Processing E-mail Address for Montreal: NVCMontreal@state.gov

To Join Electronic Processing

Please click on I am eligible and interested in Electronic Processing

The link is broken? I guess I'll need to call them and sign up via a live operator.

You should get started on the PCCs. The good thing about NVC is that you can control the flow and pace. If you have everything ready, it might take 3-4 weeks. The only thing taking time is the acceptance of DS3032.

However, Montreal has a terrible backlog currently so you might have to wait 2-3 months to get an interview.

Good luck with your journey.

You should call first NVC and give them both yours and your wife's e-mails, so they can generate the bills. Once bills and DS-3032 are generated, your wife could send via mail or e-mail DS-3032 choosing one of you both (preferably you) for an agent. Get the rest of docs ready to be sent soon. You could pass NVC in no time if everything is organized and ready to be sent to them. The interview will take the longest in the whole process (unfortunately for Canadian citizens due to Montreal interview assignment delays) but don't loose hope. Follow the guides on VJ to finish the process  Good luck
