According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Sort of related but anyone seen the lines to get a H1n1 shot?

People have come out of the wood works to get the free shot.

Talk about bad luck.

I am hoping the right doctor and scientist will examine her. If they can figure out what triggered it, they can potentially reverse it and find a cure.

They need more problem solving engineers in health care. I think Bohr, Peejay and I could have a disease figured out in a week.

Engineers (including chemists, biologists, and geneticits) if given the relaxed ethical code, and laws we construct experiments that would help mankind as whole. Due to politics and religion with different ethical theories, these people cannot do what they want.

Engineers are wired up differently to those in other fields. Problem solving is our forte.

I saw this a while ago.

I find it strange that she can walk backwards and run fine, but when she walks she has problems.

True. We have higher experience in terms of solving problems using mathematical and physics models.

Cellular biology has many different interactions. There are feedbacks. There are protein synthesis, glycolysis (ATP production), Ion pumps such a the potassium and sodium. Looking at the cellular level, we can determine the different protien folds that could cause the cell the behave erratically. As the case with the H1N1 vaccine, and this poor little girl, if given the right number of engineers who could understand the different systems of the human anatomy, we could theoretically solve the problems.

However, most engineers who goto school to learn problem solving are given little knowledge of the human anatomy. What a shame.

HAL9000 may know more if in medical school they have a field built exclusively for that. I know at Boston University they have a dual PH.D program. One degree for Doctors of Medicine, and the other for Doctors of Engineering.

The way she walks she is definitely not faking it.

I never implied that she was.

I just found it strange that she can do everything fine if she's running or going backwards.

Which IS strange from a medical ish point of view.
