Hello everyone, please help me; I have some doubts on the paperwork. Came to the USA on B1/B2, overstayed for 2 years; now I am filing the I-130 and the I-485 (marriage-based) concurrently.

I-765:

1)Line 14 "Manner of Last Entry"- just "visitor" or "B1/B2 visitor"?

3)Line 15 Current Immigration Status"- "Adjustment applicant"? B1/B2 Visitor? Or Out of Status?

I-485:

1)"Address C/O"- I'm living with my husband, should I put his name in this section, or what?

2)" Current Immigration Status "-?

Thank you so much.

Is your name on the lease too? If it is, no need to fill in the C/O section. That is really only needed if you think the mail would have trouble getting to you if your name isn't on the mailbox or the postman might get confused. If your name is on the lease or it will be easy to identify that you live at the address, just leave C/O blank.

So what does the C\O section stand for co-owner?? I am filing the same thing and didn't look at it, we rent don't own.

I think the C/O thing is just for if you are using an address that isn't your own... We interpreted it as care/of. Say if you couldn't get mail at your address. We left the C/O blank since it's not applicable to us.

Do you usually get mail addressed to you at your address? If so i'm sure that will be fine.

On the I-765 Q 14... I put my current visa status then put a hyphen and put applying for AOS.

Good Luck - you'll be so relieved once it's all mailed out.
