I think VJ has come a long way in the last few years, I am pleased to have been part of it. I have noticed a increase in the number of members returning to VJ long after their VJ has ended looking for information on bringing family members on immigrant visa's There is so little information available to people looking to bring their parents or older children. There are many areas where more information is needed, like if you are planning on bringing older parents who are not planning on working in the US, the cost of health care is expensive and many people don't think about the fact that their parent will not get medicaid unless they buy into it. There is the process that parents need to go through and all the information that is needed.

I just feel that so many people have been helped on their own visa journey they are now coming back to VJ for help and support when filing for their other family members and that area is not being covered by the site. I know the process for parents is very similar to the IR1/CR1 but for some the fact the guide only talks about spouse put a lot of people off as they think that it is not appropriate for their parents.

Thoughts?

Jon
