Their Russian is no good either (no interpreter anywhere). My fiancee understood only half of what the interviewer asked

There are always staff employees that speak Russian, Ukrainian or whatever language the country speaks. It is always helpful if the K-1 applicant speaks some English, but it is not required. Just tell her to try to speak some but not to rely upon her English.
