Hi everyone

This is first time I m writing u guys. Please help me with ur valuable opinions.I m a permant resident and waited 5 years for my husband to join me here. Finally that day i mean his interview day came and after 5 years of wait we lost that. I was actually previously married but i never mentioned that in I-130 because the marriage was just a piece of paper,I never met that guy it just happened so i always took that as a nightmare.I wanted to get an escape from that fact. I got divorced and remarried again. Now i didnt tell my husband that not to tell this on your interview. He told this to interviewer, the interviewer first said that submit ur wife's divorce certificate along with ur passport and we will issue u the visa. But after couple of days my husband got this thing in the mail that submit ur documents to NVC usa.Now i dont know what they want to do,either they gonna make a big deal of this thing and deny my I-130 or what,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?

Please please help me out ,I am very stressed ,Does it mean that i have to wait another 5 yrs.

Thank you.

First, you lied on you I-130 for you husband by stating that you were not married when you were. It does not matter that you rationalize it as "a piece of paper." Legally, you were married.

Second, it will be a big deal if you don't correct your misrepresentation. You lied in the immigration petition for your husband, why do yo think that it's not going to be a big deal? The entire petition is suspect because USCIS. the NVC, and the US Embassy/Consulate has not idea what else you may have lied about. You need to provide the marriage certificate and divorce papers from your prior marriage. Your husband's case will be denied if you do not provide this.
