You need to call NVC and find out. As long as you have your USCIS reciept number which begins with WAC or EAC just let NVC know so they can identify your case, and make sure you get an NVC case number if they do have yoour K-1 petition by now. Then they will tell you if they have recieved it and if they have recieved your K-1 they will tell you when it was forwarded to the embassy or they are doing additional processing. Additional processing is normal as they do a background check again. It could take 3 days or 3 weeks. But, most of the time it is really fast. Best of luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

Or AP could be longer... I was stuck for about 25 days in it...just don't lose hope if it happens. Eventually you will get out if it should happen...just keep calling NVC and talk to a representative, don't just go by the recordings. Live persons have more information.... Good luck!
