I wake up every morning to both my cats pawing my stomach or head butting me! This morning I woke up to them jumping on my chest. I fell asleep on the couch last night watching a movie and this morning the cats were chasing eachother and one jump from the floor right on my chest!

So good morning! I'm sooooo tired! I had a really really rough week! My bank got robbed on Thursday, I had way to much stuff to do because my manager was off and I had to take care of her stuff too, it's raining, and all I want to do is go back to sleep, but I know it's not going to happen.

**I just realized I've know my husband for 6 years today! That's crazy!**

Anyway, hope y'all have a good day!

Finally it's Saturday! Too bad I have to work! The preschool is having a Halloween carnival today...

Hope you enjoy the carnival!

Hey guys wanted to check in. Hubby will have been here 2 weeks on Wednesday. I am happy to have him here but I can't lie and say it hasn't been stressful. I am anxious for the days when life will be "normal" again. Anyway, wanted to ask you if anyone knows what's up with MENA guys not understanding Halloween or scary movies?? My hubby just can't seem to understand the whole concept. Any thoughts or ideas?

My husband loved scary movies and I was the one that didn't want to watch them with him. He also LOVED the idea of Halloween and was looking forward to experiencing it (L)

Henna your story really touches my heart. I wish I could get my hubby to understand why Americans love Halloween so much. I have so many good memories of Halloween from my childhood!!

My hubby is just going with the flow, concerning Halloween. We went to the pumpkin patch and my mom always hands out candy, but we aren't going to go all out and dress up or anything.

I know what you mean Betsy. Wow, I can't believe my hubby has been here for almost a month! There have been lots of up and downs and he still hasn't found a job.

I can't remember what my husband thinks of Halloween but he certainly loves movies even the scary ones. I think there is a haunted corn maze and pumpkin patch around here on the Palouse somewhere. People were talking about it last night at the store saying it's open this weekend and the next weekend but it's been raining this weekend. The rain let up today. They said that the whole town of Palouse is set up to be haunted this weekend and the next for Halloween and any place you go into there you'll get a frightening experience. I kind of want to check it out but I'm also kinda chicken. I don't like the feeling of being scared or renting scary movies to scare myself. I've tended to stay away from that now that I recognize how it makes me feel and affects me. I'm more of a "Day of the Dead" painted paper mache skeletons and creative celebration type person myself. Bringing joy into death then the horror and gore. Last year I saw the cutest costumes on these kids dressed like from "Where the Wild Things Are" and now this year they made a movie out of that children's book.

I also saw some kids dressed like this. The Great Pumpkin reruns are always my favorite to watch.

I had a very bad experience when I was 8 Halloween night. I don't like anything that has to do

with trick or treat, etc. No scary movies, no horror. I am terrified.

Wael is lovin' the Saw, Halloween, Friday the 13th movies. Thank goodness he doesn't have

time to watch them now!

I will be very happy when Halloween is over and all the decorations are down and out of sight.

I'm sorry it's been somewhat stressful for you but that's to be expected, hon. Hang in there, it'll get better. (F)

About Halloween, my husband handed out candy to the kids that came into his work his first Halloween here and thought it was fun. My husband just looks at it as yet another "American" holiday that's kinda silly and unimportant. Is he against the concept of Halloween or he just doesn't understand? About scary/horror movies, my husband doesn't really watch them unless you count suspense as "scary". He has watched a couple but he doesn't feel they have much of a story to hold his interest. I don't watch horror flicks myself.

Sorry I don't have any advice other than explain that Halloween is mostly a kid holiday. Kids dress up and beg for candy, it's not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Does your family celebrate Christmas and Easter? How does your husband feel about celebrating those holidays? I'm assuming your husband is Muslim, correct?
