Thank you for the examples, and the Microsoft Word tip! Paint can be wierd on page sizes.

I'll print the Skype stuff as you did, Beinha... so I don't kill a whole forest :)

The album idea is good too, I just don't have too many pictures. Might make the letters and pics all together so it's easy to be looked at though. Did they bother people if they carried folders of something like that? Is it alright to take a kinda big album inside?

I walked in with nothing but my luggage... it's okay to carry everything with you, they would ask you only for the electronics (iPod, computer, camera) and you should leave at the entrance and they give you a ticket to get your electronics back on your way out.

Good luck and don't panic, it's not that bad as it sounds. God has His ways, remember that ;)

Ok, doubts finally came:

- Did you guys use the federal police record printed from the internet?

- Will I need the police records from Brazil translated at a later moment for AOS?

Also, for my co-sponsor, her birth certificate is not very good to read, so we are sending a copy of it with her marriage certificate copy together. Enough to prove citizenship?

EDIT: anything that needs to be notorized on the supporting docs of I-134? The form and its signature are the only things that need to be original and not copy?

Yes, you can do it. Make sure to authenticate it online and make a copy, you need the original and a copy. I couldn't get mine online, I just got an error and I had to go to the Police, and it took me 3 days. I know in Sao Paulo it takes over 15 days if you need to go there.

- Will I need the police records from Brazil translated at a later moment for AOS?

You'll never need this again, they even give you back the original.

Also, for my co-sponsor, her birth certificate is not very good to read, so we are sending a copy of it with her marriage certificate copy together. Enough to prove citizenship?

I don't know how marriage certificate proves citizenship as I don't know how they are, how about his Passport?

EDIT: anything that needs to be notarized on the supporting docs of I-134? The form and its signature are the only things that need to be original and not copy?

Patrick had all his taxes papers notarized. As all, I mean, the last year, it's all they need, your last tax report. And he also notarize the I-134 (The affidavit of support). They say you don't need but we did it, it cost $10 and takes 5 minutes.... why not?

My life is perfect now, I'm here with my love and everything is great! I feel blessed, thank you God for all your plans, they are way better than I could have ever asked for.

EMBASSY RETURNING PASSPORTS AFTER INTERVIEW

My fiancée belongs to another forum where individuals post their experiences after being interviewed. I think this may help here too.. Hopefully I am not over doing it, but I found myself as stress as she is..

They have been posting delays US Embassy is experiencing in returning the stamped passport to their holders. Apparently, TNT?? is taking a little longer than the normal in returning this document on time back to the embassy consequently, fiancées are having anxiety moments specially if airfare was purchased prior interview. We all know the consequences if you don’t have a stamped passport the day of traveling.. Airfare changes and extra expenses..

If you have not had your interview and not purchased your air ticket, allow enough time specially since the holidays are approaching. If you already have your air bill, and your interview is coming up, find out the fastest way the embassy can authorize your Visa Stamp, even if it means extra cost [R$]

Imwaiting - what's the web address of the other forum you mentioned that your fiancee belongs to? Thanks.

I was a way for a sometime, Thank God my other half landed in NY yesterday.. Everything went well, she was not even interview at the airport. The IO spoke with her and after her finger prints told her everything was ok and she could go.

Her I-94 was stamped with a working permit [limited for a few months] but will give the SS department the edge to issue her card with working permit option when we approached them [soon].

Now, her friend on the other side [another K1] was taken to different room along with her fiancé and the IO was a little hard with her fiancé [go figures]. But was a little fast and no negative results.

Bottom Line: JFK/POE was very smooth for my fiancée and as well simple for the other person who entered here.

orkut's google's answer to facebook and myspace - not really a blogging site like, say, livejournal or vox. IIRC, they're the ones that pushed profile widgets and on-site third party apps. :)

10 days until I leave this frozen tundra (current temp: -2F and under a little more than a foot of snow after this week's blizzard) for Brazil, whoo! I think I'm as excited by the prospect of being warm as I am at seeing L.

Hi everyone!

I'm applying for the K3 visa and, I was just wondering if you met somebody at the Consulate that was applying for K3 and if you know how did it go?!

My friend applied for the K1 and she said most of the people there were K1 applicants. Any idea how the K3 interview may be?

Thanks, Natalia

Hi Natalia, I will assume you are currently living in Brazil, right? During the interview, my fiancée had the change to interact with a few individuals, couple people were K3/K2.. The interview process was the same, the petitioner on both parties were there. One of them had kids and other none.

Interview consist in verifying the marriage is for the good reasons [just like the K1], the couples there had all their paperwork in order and a lot of documentation to proof the veracity of the relationship.
