You're funny!

You know what? As soon at it is over for you guys, we all should laugh out loud and said together: we got it, we helped each other and that's what life is about!! When Luciana, my friend that I have met here at VJ got her Visa today, we celebrate together so dam much.... It was like my own Visa cause we know the good hearts and soul around and you both are, for sure, good ones.

Good luck for you both, I can't wait to see your guys saying "she got it!!"

Beinha

p.s. Lu and I, we are going to USA together on November, 23th!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We definately will have to celebrate when all of us are through the interviews. Great time to come to the USA, right around Thanksgiving. I really appreciate all the help!!!

Passport Size Picture Requirements

Embassy requires pictures to be cleared, no earrings, jewelry, eye glasses.. ears should be visible enough not hiding under hair [for women]. pictures must be 5x5 or 5x7 cm.. ohhh you should not be smiling,

ohh One More thing

Form FS 257A is no longer required - according to sources..

BUT, I would have it ready just in case since the embassy website has not been updated. :bonk:

No surprises here.... If you have the documents for the interview, the list that I copy from their original, there is no FS257a there... plus passport photos are like there even for Brazil passport...

just saying...

I still havent got my interview set-up, but I saw a package in DHL to the consulate that has not been delivered, I am hoping that it is my packet. Anyway, the reason I came here was to check with you guys about the medical exams. I saw some talk about an x-ray, is that right? also the cost from what I am gathering varies between 250-300 reais, is that right? and finally how long does it take to get the exams back, is it the same day?

I'm curious, how did you get that information on the package arriving to the consulate?

Ugh, another doubt... I didn't understand the police records part. Both of them I can get on the internet, and neither need to be notorized, is that it?

It's explained here, at the same post....

The Federal Police you can get online. The other one it depends on your state.

Thank you, I got confused while reading.

Another doubt came, I am checking the forms of the interview, and the DS-230-I asks questions about the Spouse; I'm K-1, and not married yet, but maybe my english is just bad: spouse means husband/wife, right? So should I put N/A on all that part or include his info and just leave the marriage date question as N/A?

Correct, spouse referrers to the legal partner.. in this case, husband or wife.. N/A should be the answer

Dear,

I suggest you to get the example forms, they are excellent:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples

And keep in mind the forms are for several kind of visas... there is a few more that will ask your Spouse name, if you are not married, you don't have a spouse BUT if you were married before, there is a form that ask your Spouse name even if divorced.

Don't get overwhelmed, the forms can be hard to fill but if you realize it's just forms and the information is about your life, you get it. Go there to the forms example, they are your best friend. And also, don't try to fill everything in right away, give yourself some time, fill it in, send it to your fiancee if your English is not that good or if you don't feel secure. That's the key: patience and revisions.

Feel free to ask us any question but if you follow the example forms, 90% of your doubts are already there!

Good luck and stay calm ;)

Totally in agreement with beinha, take your time.. as a matter of fact, I completed 90% of the forms for my fiancée and she added information I was not too clear such as schools, jobs, etc. Will be good if your fiancé completes the forms for you and you do the second look to assure accuracy. We did our forms, complete them, reviewed them, again, again and again  .. But, don’t hesitate to ask...

By the way, make sure you use the most updated forms..

Hi dear friend ;)

You know what I was thinking? We should get the forms, the new ones, and find a way to show our friends where they are as the VJ forms are outdated. Or even ask the VJ to do this, what do you think? I'm helping another girl over MSN and her English is quite bad, she was getting so much anxious. I'm just afraid to point it out and out of nowhere the Embassy changes something... Don't know what's the right thing to do on this matter. Maybe you can come in with a good idea.

;)

I have send the inquiry to the VJ tech support, honestly, I won’t spec answers any time soon as I am sure they will need to complete forms and then link them.. but for now these are some of the updated forms you will need. If anyone needs a sample form, I will be more than happy to provide you with a sample one..

[Gee, I just hope they are not monitoring me at work - ]
