What really bugs me in this kind of topic is not that you might agree with the Sheriff...it's adding things like the pictures of people trying to make them look stupid. It's easy to find those kinds of pictures of every nationality. And don't say no. So if you go from being passionate about an idea to turning it into something ugly, what do you expect? I don't want open borders. I have issues with illegal immigration. I don't agree with a lot of political things with many ppl in this thread. But when you resort to things like posting pictures of ppl holding the middle finger to prove a point, that gets really ugly. And not at all respect worthy.

Their photos not mine. I am sure if it was a photo of myself doing the same, then it would be used to put me down.

That's not an explanation of your own behavior in posting them...

Uh oh...pulling out the condescending terms of endearment!

*ding ding!*

Must be a coincidence that the exact same group of members seem to 'disagree' with certain members. How many times have we played this game now? At least Joesph, is not too familiar with it.

Lets see who is here: Yep, same group of people.

Missing? I've already contributed in this thread 3 times.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Can someone enlighten me? I fail to understand why a grown group of adults continually sit here and bicker. Isn't it embarrassing? Would you act this way in public? I guess it's easy to act like this when no one really knows who you are.

Is it enjoyable? Why not crack funny jokes or talk about something productive?

Not that it matters, the thread will be shut down shortly due to all the personal attacks.

Adios muchachos.

Oh wait.

By the way, Joyce knows all and is the Empress of Groovy and cannot be spoken to in that manner. Her hair is way too fabulous.

OK now I'm really leaving :star:

Stating one's opinion is not acceptable anymore. Stating your view of the poster and their comments is. Also constitutes a logical discussion in the minds of some pointed out above. Boy does that bring back memories of the old VJ.

Can anyone honestly tell me they have ever seen conservatives ambush a poster? It must be a strange coincidence that the same group of people, yes exactly the same, will ambush a poster they disagree with, Not to mention dislike. Pointing this out is always followed by a "you're whining" accusation.

But he can't help it, his type shoots from the hip at times and does not intend to offend(his own words). :hehe: "Oh I didn't actually mean what I said..."

If someone misinterprets what I say, that is their problem not mine. I am not going to tiptoe around issues I strongly believe in solely not to offend 'certain' people.

I am 100% against illegal aliens and for a range of valid reasons. End of story. I post source after source of data and it's ignored and replaced with a stereotypical opinion of, "why do you hate brown people or Hispanics". Such comments clearly illustrate that the poster is not interested in a discussion and will keep to their views now matter what evidence is presented to them.

Which perhaps justifies the concern with the absence of moderation. Although to be fair, the moderation may have a hard time due to the incredible amount of attention and response such a target draws to itself.

Don't such a target me ######. "To be fair", I earn more than you and your spouse combined.

So? Where would you like to take this?

I am not sure how much money a person makes as to do with this topic?

or ob what planet how much money a person makes defines their worth..??

No but when he starts talking down to people, he better have the means to back it up.

This is one of the weirdest posts I have ever read!! Since when do you even know how much people make? Oh wow...that gave me a good laugh.

Shh. He knows.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Honest to Christ, who says this kind of thing?

I always thought it was considered rather gauche to boast about how much money you earned, and mature, professional people tend not to do it - at least in my experience.

Whenever anyone challenges you - the best you can reply with is something along the lines of "I have lots of money, how dare you!?"

Personally, I think you're lying.

You think?

This defend my buds routine is getting old. Hal clearly took a swipe at me, yet once again, I am the bad guy for defending myself.

"It's absolutely not racial profiling," said director of custody Jerry Sheridan Monday.

Oh no, of course it isn't

"I think you can tell people that are not from this country," he said.

Presumably they'll be looking for short, mustached men in sombreros and ponchos who say "Gringo" a lot.

a common case of mistaken ID with Charles apparently.

Seriously- its not funny if you have to witness this kind of profiling.

Okay so I have a funny story, but it's not such a funny story, the only reason I laughed about it was because it happened to my cheating ex and I can't really stand him, but otherwise it's a horrible thing.

My ex is 100% American. Born in the US, speaks English, you name it.

Him and a friend of his were making some extra money on the weekends doing fall yard cleanups for some friends. My ex's mom is Puerto Rican so I guess he's guilty of "walking while brown." He was out in the yard working when they decided to go grab some Subway. The police pulled Brian (his friend) and him over. My ex didn't have any ID on him because he'd left everything at his friend's house but Brian was driving and had his wallet with him. Long story short, they accused Brian of hiring an illegal worker and took my ex down to the precinct!! He was held there for over 2 hours.

His friend brought his wallet down which happened to have a small copy of his birth certificate which said he was born in the town of Islip, NY! The kicker is my ex doesn't even speak Spanish. Racial profiling much? Holy #######.

And was this in Islip? Holy cow... I find it incredible somehow this is OK for so many.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

If he gets to me, I'll be sure in hell to make his life miserable as well. But, if I'm under his custody, he'll probably fake evidence to make it so I'm illegal.

Somebody's started the weekend early.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
