Tracking your file

I called today and they said file has left NVC but will take about two weeks to reach Embassy in Jamaica. That might be a standard answer. I don't know. My fiance found this in the K-1 Forum and tried it last night.

After calling the Department of State #202-663-1225 (options 1 then 0) I was told that file left NVC on 19 Oct 2009. that was pretty much it.

in the refence box type the date you received from DOS like this EXP 19 OCT 2009A

in shipment pickup date range. try putting the day before or the day after. For mine I put day after, since the 19th was a Monday. til the end of that week whcih was the 23.

Click on track.

It should give you a list of all the files picked up on that day. Then you should be able to find your destination in that column.

Not saying that the information is pertaining to your exact file. But it gives you a little insight. Especially if there is only on file sent to destination of your SO's embassy!!!!
