Have you thought about living in Canada and waiting out the 10 year ban and petitioning your husband to live in Canada? Do you have any back up plans in case the biometrics/AOS doesn't work out?

If AoS is denied, I will have to go back to Canada, my husband will most likely follow me... But, I don't have any family in Canada, none that I'm close to anyway. So, it really isn't something I would do voluntarily. That is why I was saying, I wish they had a waiver for people who admit they ####*d up. :unsure:

I suggest you go to the nearest canadian embassy/consulate and tell them your present situation. Request to speak with the Consul General if you have to.

Can you fill out the passport applications AND make an appointment to visit your nearest embassy with it in person?

I can fill out the application, but the embassy is too far away. I did call them, but they referred me to Passport Canada website.

Is there a way you can make an appointment though? In your situation distance is irrelevant.

I am thinking of calling and asking to speak with someone else than the receptionist. But distance is somewhat of an issue, I am fairly sick and just leaving the house to go grocery shopping is an issue sometimes.

I dont know your illness but you do know AOS requires a full medical? Hopefully your illness wont affect your AOS.

I dont know your illness but you do know AOS requires a full medical? Hopefully your illness wont affect your AOS.

It won't. The only impact it may have is delay the whole process if I have to go trough surgery.

I was just reading through the thread a bit here and I'm sorry you are having so many snags Kitty! This process is so confusing and can cause such hopelessness. I went to the Passport Canada website, and they have an interactive application form that you can fill and apply for a new passport. You need proof of citizenship (your birth certificate which you have thankfully, you could have left it in Canada when you came here...) and application fee etc...

I would suggest you fill it online, send your application and see what happens. Take your chances on this one.
