My wife and I applied for the I485 and Work permission June 18th and have recieved NOA1 June28th for both and have a date for Biometrics July 28th...However recently I have seen people can get RFE's after they already have a biometrics date? IS that true. I am a bit worried becuase I translated the birth cert myslef from spanish (my wife is Cuban) and I was also told (by the USCIS that since she had a medical in cuba she didn't need to send a certified medical reprt (just needed a copy) Has anyone gotted RFE for this? and what sort of timeline after biometrics might we expect? What exactly is biometrics? Any and all info is much appreciated.

Biometrics is photos, fingerprints and a short form to be filled out.

Yes, you can receive a RFE after Biometrics.

I don't know if you translating the birth certificate is sufficient, if they want something better they will ask you for it.

Did you send in a vaccination supplement? This is to be filled out by a US Civil Surgeon, not the Panel Physician in her country. Some people receive a RFE for it.
